Clothes

This is every clothing item I packed for my ONE WEEK LONG trip to Norway, all fitting in a carry on sized luggage.

  • Thermal Layers (Long Sleeve Shirts & Leggings) x 4 pairs
    • My favorite: Uniqlo Extra Warm Heat Tech
    • Layering these thermals under sweaters and pants kept us warm on our long cold nights searching for the Northern Lights!
  • Sweaters x 7
    • Wool sweaters are the warmest!
    • If you want the Scandinavian vibe, look for Fair Isle aesthetic sweaters
  • Snow Pants x 1
    • My favorite: Columbia Insulated Snow Pants
    • You will be trekking through the snow more than you realize on excursions and when chasing the lights, they are an essential to stay warm and dry
  • Pajamas x 1 pair
  • Pants x 2 pairs
    • For the days you stay in downtown Tromso no snow pants are needed and you can just wear regular jeans, pants, etc.
  • Winter Coat x 1
  • Wool Socks x 7 pairs
  • Underwear x 10 pairs
  • Snow Boots x 1 pair

Accessories to Stay Warm

Technology & Safety Gear

These items are essential if you plan on chasing the Northern Lights yourself, the cold will deplete your batteries and you want to be visible to stay safe anytime you step out of your car to see the Northern Lights.
